Jessie has a background in social work and is a senior lecturer at a university in Johannesburg. Her doctoral thesis explored the effects of complementary practices, including Breathwork, with a group of caregivers in a poor community on the outskirts of Pretoria.
Jessie is passionate about continuing this work and using Breathwork as an empowering tool with communities living with the traumatic effects of poverty.

Having experienced his first conscious breathing experience in 2017, Simon realised that he wanted to be more involved in breathwork and so began his journey with Breathwork Africa. He has been instrumental in Breathwork Africa’s digital presence, from a creative and operational perspective.
Simon’s passion around the science of breathwork allows him to bring a pragmatic and grounded approach to his breathwork practice, opening a spectrum of opportunity from focussing on physical performance to guiding one through stressful and anxious moments in life.

Dr Priyal Modi qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Witwatersrand.
Upon completion of her internship and community service years, she stepped away from medical practice to gain a deeper understanding of life, health and wellbeing through her travels and by studying and practicing yoga, breathwork, philosophy and an integrative approach to health.
She is now practicing as an Integrative medical doctor using breathwork as a tool for healing, transformation and empowerment.

Waseema is a mom of two boys for whom she facilitates a natural learning environment. With over a decade of experience in counselling and working therapeutically with traumatized children and adults, Natalie has a passion for creating therapeutic experiences that are playful, but embodied and impactful.
After attaining a master’s degree, she utilized her knowledge in psychology and her training in play therapy to create dynamic therapy experiences. Furthering her education by certifying as a hypnotherapist with the IMDHA, Natalie begun to understand the importance of embodied practices in healing trauma. In February 2022, she was certified as an Advanced Breathwork Practitioner. Now, with new-found zest, Natalie is weaving the powerful impact of breathwork with her training in psychology, hypnosis and play therapy to create safe spaces and therapeutic experiences.

Lesa has a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and is a lecturer and coach at two leading business schools. After going paralysed at 18 months of age, and 3 major surgeries to correct the problem, Lesa has spent much of her life discovering and learning strategies to overcome her physical limitations, building emotional resilience, exploring spiritual truths and building mental strength, along with finding meaning in her journey. Hence, Lesa’s philosophy is focussed on helping her clients to examine, explore and discover their unique ways to integrate their body, heart, mind and spirit, to enable them to show up in the world with whole- hearted being that makes the world a better place.
In the last five years Lesa has discovered that Breathwork offers simple yet powerful techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance focus and concentration as well as increase energy levels which all enable the body to restore its natural balance and ability to heal itself.
