The Breathing Buddies Course is ideal for those who work with children or want to support children in a new way of relating to life. This practical 1-day workshop will leave attendees with a toolkit on why, when, and how to teach breathwork to children aged 3 to 13 years old. This creative and interactive workshop will equip you with a solid set of skills to integrate conscious breathing into your work with children whether you are an educator, medical professional, sports coach, au pair, yoga teacher, or parent. No prior experience or knowledge of breathwork is needed to participate in this workshop. The cost includes lunch, a printed manual and a copy of The Alphabet Book of Breathing. The workshop covers: • The importance of conscious breathing for children • Breathing and the brain • Self-regulation – the autonomic nervous system • General principles of healthy breathing • Foundational Breathing Techniques • Energy, Balance and Relaxation Techniques • How to make Breathwork fun You will leave with: • A deeper understanding of the power and efficacy of conscious breathing • A skillset to integrate into work with children • A library of techniques • A toolkit with which to facilitate workshops with children • Knowledge which can be immediately implemented in your environment • A foundation to create your own breathing programme Facilitators Marj Murray is a Certified Advanced Breathwork Practitioner who has a unique gift of working with children. She oversees Breathwork Africa’s Project Inspire which focuses on schools, parent-child workshops, and Breathing Buddies training. She sees children one-on-one and within the family environment. She comes with her own life experience offering her deep insight into the human condition and has a passion to equip children and families with the ability to experience life fully. She is also the co-author of the children's book, 'The Alphabet Book of Breathing'. Natalie de Gouveia has over a decade of experience in counselling and working therapeutically with traumatized children and adults. She has a passion for creating therapeutic experiences that are playful, but embodied and impactful. Natalie weaves the powerful impact of breathwork with her training in psychology, hypnosis and play therapy to create safe spaces and therapeutic experiences. Cancellation Policy

If you decide to cancel, we kindly request that you cancel at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled Event. This will allow us to offer your spot to another person. You may email us at info@breathworkafrica.co.za to cancel. Cancellations made fourteen (14) days or more in advance of the Event date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within forty-eight (48) hours will not receive a refund.
