Adriana is a Mozambican artist, facilitator, and student researcher in the fields of performance studies and somatic healing modalities. She has just completed her Master’s degree in Performance at the University of Cape Town, focusing on the integration of movement, voice, and memory in creative processes. Her intersecting identities, inform her drive to learn about and honour diversity and accessibility in all the spaces she navigates. Beyond creating performance works in Mozambique and South Africa, Adriana has facilitated classes and workshops, weaving her artistic creativity with her knowledge of a range of somatic modalities. Above all, Adriana is a deep thinker and a seeker, who cares about social and disability justice, and is invested in the knowledge of the body to transform our experience of ourselves, each other and the world we create together.
