Breathwork Foundation Course
(Accredited by the AHPCSA for 15 CPD Points)

The 3-day Foundation Course is for those interested in learning the basic skills of breathwork and who would like to integrate it into their personal lives and work. It will leave you with fascinating insights into the science of breathing and a solid set of skills that can be applied in your life and shared with your family, colleagues, students and clients. This three-day immersion is a life-changing journey and exploration of self.

 

This course is for those who would like to:

  • Deepen their process of personal growth.

  • Develop a practical skill set in breathwork that can be applied in every area of your life from health to business, sports performance, community work or spiritual practice.

  • Integrate breathwork into your current skill set whether you are a health professional, psychologist, coach, trainer, yoga teacher, HR consultant, healer or teacher.

  • Create a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to further your career as a breathwork practitioner. The foundation course is a pre-requisite for the advanced practitioner course.

The course is facilitated by Dr Ela Manga, Medical Doctor, author of Breathe and Founder of Breathwork Africa.

Advanced Breathwork Practitioner Course

The Advanced Breathwork Practitioner Course (APC) is an intense and comprehensive one-year program designed for those who would like deepen their knowledge and experience in the field of conscious breathing. It has limited space ensuring that participants gain the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to establish an effective and successful professional practice that is accredited by Breathwork Africa and its international affiliates.

 

The curriculum covers:

 

  • The History and Scope of Breathwork

 

  • Respiratory Anatomy and Physiology

 

  • The Cornerstones of Breathwork and Principles of Breath Therapy

 

  • The “ART ”of Breathing - Techniques for Awareness, Regulation and Transformation

 

  • How to Conduct a Conscious Connected Breathing session

 

  • The Connection of Breathing to Thoughts, Emotions and Belief systems

 

  • Energy Anatomy

 

  • The Application of Breathwork in everyday life and in specific fields

 

  • The client practitioner relationship and breathing as a business

 ​

The course includes home study material, attendance of quarterly in-person training sessions, monthly webinars  and one-on-one training. It requires written reports and case studies. Accreditation is granted once all requirements are met.

 

It is accredited by Allied Health Professions Council of SA (AHPCSA) and is in the process of being accredited by the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA).

Next intake: January 2021 – you are required to do the Breathwork Foundation Course before embarking on the Advanced Practitioner Course.

Project Inspire Training
Equipping children with the skill of breathing

A 2-day training course to equip professionals with specific skills related to reducing anxiety, improving relaxation and increasing confidence in 3 to 13 year olds. The course covers:

  • Basic breathing physiology and anatomy

  • Development stages and how these impact breathing on physical and emotional levels

  • A toolkit of techniques

  • How to share techniques with children in your particular environment.
