Day 7 - Washing Hands Breath

We are all aware that the most effective practice to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and protect ourselves is to wash our hands with soap and water regularly for at least 20 seconds.

We can use the hand washing experience to connect with our breathing and enjoy the feeling of washing stress from the inside too. Use your hand washing as a mindfulness and breathing exercise and get the benefits of cleansing inside and out!

As you are washing your hands inhale slowly for 5 seconds. Inhale in ‘steps’ as you count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and exhale in steps as you count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

One cycle of inhale and exhale should be 10 seconds.

Do this twice and you are at 20 seconds!
